FAQs
Every individual who has been allotted a Permanent Account Number (PAN) as on 1st July, 2017, and who is eligible to obtain an Aadhaar number has to mandatorily link Aadhaar and PAN.
All the citizens having a valid PAN card must link it with Aadhaar by 30th June, 2023. Having said that, to link your aadhaar and PAN by this date, you will have to pay penalty of Rs. 1000.
If you don’t link your aadhaar and PAN by 30th June, 2023, then your PAN will become inoperative. Moreover, you will not be able to do majority of the transactions like claiming ITR refund, opening bank account etc
